Veterinarian at Pryor Veterinary Hospital, Stan McBride, DVM is a native of Arkoma, Oklahoma.  Dr. McBride earned his undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991.  Pryor Veterinary Hospital has been home to him since his graduation.  

 

He is passionate about Non Invasive Pain Management.  This is new territory for Pryor Veterinary Hospital and he is thrilled with the results they are experiencing.  Through several professional memberships, Dr. McBride is able to maintain a leading edge with multiple continuing education opportunities.   He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association and North East Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association. 

 

Dr. McBride says, “I chose the veterinary field because I was always intrigued when the veterinarian came to treat a cow or pull a calf at our farm when I was growing up.  I was amazed at the knowledge and skill he used.”

 

Dr. McBride is a huge sports fan.  He especially enjoys Oklahoma State University’s football and basketball teams. 

 

He’s also active himself, spending time at the lake when he has the chance.  His newest adventure is paddle boarding. He’s an active member of First Baptist Church of Pryor and supports a few of his favorite charities throughout the year.
